The temperature in Milan soured into the 30’s while Creative Director Frieda Giannini at Gucci sent androgynous looking models, inspired by Louise Brookes and Nancy Cunard in the images of Man Ray down the runway in stunning Art deco, Charleston style evening dresses, paved in architectural embroidery. Netting and chiffon were hand embroidered with carved plexiglass, prismatic crystals and baguettes overlapping for “decori-sculpture”.

Another of the World’s Leading Fashion week kicks off with Gold and black trimmings, feather handbags and dinner jackets: the new Gucci spring-summer 2012 collection at Milan Fashion Week on Wednesday that leant heavily on some of the most iconic images of Art Deco.

Amid reports that models were being stolen from London’s Fashion Week events and top are avoiding poor pay and stress in UK design showcase and heading instead to Milan, Paris and Madrid, Frida Giannini, the highly acclaimed creative director at the French-owned fashion house stated that the collection was aimed at exploring an optical side of feminine beauty by creating a sculptural glamour for the Gucci woman..

Apple to Announce iPhone 5 Release Date on October 4…

Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook is expected to announce the date for the release of the much anticipated iPhone 5 when he addresses the press on October 4th.

If this speculation is true, it will be consistent with recent rumours claiming that the latest instalment of Apple’s phone series is expected in the market by early October.

Leila Lopes of Angola is crowned Miss Universe..
Leila Lopes from Angola has been crowned as the new Miss Universe.Lopes beat out 88 other competitors to win the title in Sao Paulo, Brazil.It was the 60th anniversary of the world’s biggest beauty pageant. Lopes has taken the crown from Mexico’s Ximena Navarrete.The pageant aired live and more than 1 billion people were expected to have watched the event.
